The Oryx Twin-turbine Medium Transport Helicopter, manufactured by Denel Aviation of South Africa, currently provides superior service to the South African Air Force. The helicopter, based on an upgraded SA330 Puma airframe, comprises of updated efficient and proven power plants, transmission systems and aircraft systems.
Avionics systems and aircraft role equipment can be incorporated into the basic aircraft, to meet customer requirements.
The A109M helicopter is the most recent military model of the A109 family in operation in various configurations by the Armed Forces of ten Countries. The A109M is a light-weight, twin engine, four composite bladed fully articulated rotor, eight seats multicolor helicopter powered by two Turbomeca Arrius 2K2 turboshaft engines or in alternative by two Pratt * Whitney PW207C turboshaft engines. The twin engine reliability is assured by a fully separated fuel system, duel hydraulic boos system, dual electrical system and redundant lubrication and cooling systems for main transmission and engines. The wheel type landing gear is provided with an air oil absorber for each leg for increasing the crashworthiness.
The A119KOALA is an 8 seat, light single turbine, for passenger transport and aerial work. Its unobstructed cabin, the largest in its class, allows the highest operational flexibility.
The A119KOALA is the only light-single capable of carrying 1 or 2 litres without interference with the cockpit. Sophisticated technologies, typical of superior class helicopters, high productivity, flying qualities, sturdiness and high inherent safety characterize the A119KOALA.
